Kitchens can be transformed from what you have into what you want with paint and glaze. It never fails to amaze us. Here are a few transformations. Most of these kitchens started out with stark white walls and cabinets with little appeal.

This kitchen island was a left-over cabinet from a remodel. We added a granite top, corbels, put it on rollers, and added a crackle finish. Now, it has a new life.

In this kitchen, the home owner had the top middle panels of her cabinets removed and replaced with antique glass. The cabinets were painted and stenciled for a pretty update.

If you like Country French design, you will fall in love with this kitchen. Composition and moldings were added; then, the cabinets were painted and glazed in a pretty sage green color.

Remember the Mediterranean theme for kitchens? Well, it is still popular; and if done right, it can be everlasting. The home owner started with plain white cabinets. With the addition of crown molding on the cabinets and a little paint, glaze, and faux brick, one might feel the urge to plant an olive tree.

Sometimes just having a kitchen island finished can add a statement to a kitchen.
